365 Day Black and White Challenge - Day 3

It’s cold and snowy here in Denver. Temperatures reached single digits last night for New Year’s Eve. I had to make a trip to the post office yesterday so since I was out I thought I’d wander down to 17 Mile House Farm Park and see if I could find some trees or possibly some ducks to capture. I was pleasantly surprised to find a flock of geese nestled among the brush and trees in the creek south of the farm house.

Day 3 - 365 B&W Challenge - I ventured out behind 17 Mile House and found all the geese nestled in the stream, protected by the trees in the area on this cold New Year's Eve Day - Fuji XT-2, XF 50-140 f/2.8, Acros R Film Simulation

Here’s some bonus content. I was moving around to the left side of the geese to try to get a different angle and they must have noticed me and started squawking and before I knew it they took off and flew right at me. It was scary and exciting at the same time.

I did actually some pictures of some of the trees. This tree/branch I use for some of my portrait work and is a fun place to capture Senior Portraits. it looks so different in the winter.

The same tree during the summer months for portraits.
